A Look at Some of the Youth behind CHY

                                                   

Keya Bhatt: Keya Bhatt is a management consultant for Deloitte.  Originally hailing from Indianapolis, IN, she currently lives in Charlotte, NC. Keya is an active member at the Charlotte mandir, where she is one of the key members of the CROP program, their Bal-Vihar program, where she helps with the administration of more than 250 students.  She has been involved with HMEC and VHPA for many years. keya@chynetwork.org

 

Samir Asthana: Samir Asthana is an attorney currently practicing in Massachusetts. Samir is an active member of the Sri Lakshmi Temple in Ashland, MA where he teaches in the Bal-Vihar and heads up the youth activities for the Youth and Cultural Committee.  He is also an active member in VHPA and is involved in running many of the youth and seva activities, including camps, retreats, and conferences. samir@chynetwork.org

 

Bhakti Mehta: Bhakti Mehta is currently a senior at Penn State University studying Health Policy and Administration.  Bhakti is a representative of the Hindu Jain Temple Youth Group of Pittsburgh, PA.  Bhakti is also a teacher at the Hindu Jain Temple – Vidya Mandir classes.  She is an active member in the VHPA, and has been involved in bal-vihars, seva activities, camps, and youth conferences for the past ten years.  Bhakti has been attending HMEC’s for four years now. bhakti@chynetwork.org

 

Preya Dave: Preya Dave, a senior at Indiana University, Bloomington, is majoring in Biology in the hopes of pursuing a career on ophthalmology.  Preya is an active member of the Hindu Temple of Central Indiana, where she plays a lead role in the Bal Gokulum.  Preya also helps organize their yearly family camp, and has been attending HMEC’s for three years now. preya@chynetwork.org
